Wine Estate in Languedoc

Our history

Family history for 4 generations in Languedoc

The Vellas adventure

At all times, we have maintained a close relationship between the agricultural professions with more than 1000 hectares of cereals, pastures and olive trees, a breeding of 1200 bulls, Camargue horses, and vines.

Located in the village of Teyran near Montpellier, between Pic Saint-Loup and the Mediterranean Sea, our main family property, the wine estate in Languedoc, the Mas du Pont, heart of our activities, is a place of culture, traditions, sharing and events, around the vine, wine, gastronomy and the bull.

While following in his father's footsteps, Nicolas Vellas was able to give a new vision and new impetus to this great family business to grow from an operation of 13 hectares of vines at the start, to 330 hectares today.

Terroir & Environment

Our vineyards

Our vineyards, covering an area of 330 hectares, are spread over 13 properties.

Respect for our land and the environment are part of our way of life. This is why the majority of our vineyards are organically farmed and are divided into 8 terroirs.

  • Pays d’Oc
  • Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert
  • Languedoc
  • Grés de Montpellier
  • Saint-Drézéry
  • Pic Saint-Loup
  • Faugères
  • Saint-Chinian Berlou
  • Terrasses du Larzac
  • Muscat de Lunel
  • Costières-de-Nîmes
  • Côtes-du-Rhône
  • Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Our range is completed by strong partnerships, linked with winegrowers from Languedoc, the South-West, the Rhône Valley and Provence. We therefore offer all the terroirs of the South of France.
